Nurse Manager - Keystone Urology

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our practice as the Nurse Manager for our single specialty ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for the administration of the office surgery center as well as direct patient care in the surgery center. This position may also occasionally work with physicians in office sessions, if needed.
 
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating a “5-Star” experience for our patients and our employees. The ideal candidate will have solid management skills, strong attention to detail and follow-through, and the ability to recognize areas of opportunity and work with others to solve problems. This position requires effective decision making skills, careful clinical judgment, listening, and critical thinking and assessment skills.
 
This is a full-time position Monday-Friday. No evenings, weekends, holidays or call schedules.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall administration of the office surgery center, including documentation and compliance with JCAHO and PA state licensure
  • Ensure delivery of quality patient care
  • Direct patient care, assisting physicians in the office sessions or surgery procedure rooms
  • Manage and develop the clinical surgery center nursing employees: set expectations, provide timely and objective feedback, conduct performance reviews, employee discipline, develop and train employees, provide appropriate rewards and recognition
  • Partner with other managers and departments to improve patient care processes and outcomes,  consistently delivering “5-Star” experiences for our patients
  • Continue to build and maintain professional and technical knowledge in urology
  • Create a positive working relationship among the physicians and LU staff; demonstrate respect; proactively communicate with others;
  • Act as a team player to help the practice achieve its goals and provide 5-Star service to our patients

 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current PA Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BSN, CNOR, and/or previous management experience preferred
  • Experience in urology, recovery room and/or O.R. preferred
  • Current CPR certificate

 

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrate solid management skills (setting expectations, providing timely and objective feedback, recognizing employees, developing a strong team)
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and take initiative to correct errors
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management/physicians, other employees, patients, and external partners

Clinical Operations Manager - Keystone Urology

Seeking a Registered Nurse to join Keystone Urology Specialists as a Clinical Operations Manager. You will be responsible for managing the nursing team to ensure delivery of quality patient care for a busy urology practice (11 physicians, 4 APP). This position will often work with physicians in the office sessions, as determined by staffing needs.

Registered Nurse - Keystone Urology

Seeking a Registered Nursed (RN) to join the team at Keystone Urology Specialists! As part of the nursing team, you will be responsible for providing primary care to patients in both our single-specialty ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and urology medical office. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills with experience in a surgical setting.

This is a full-time position; Monday – Friday. No evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides quality patient care by adhering to practice guidelines, standards of care and federal/state laws and regulations
  • Responsible for rooming patients, preparing patients for surgery, supporting physician during procedures, patient education and cleaning/sterilizing equipment
  • Creates a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations; adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures
  • Maintains patient confidentiality
  • Documents patient care services by charting in electronic medical records (Medent)
  • Partners with others within the practice to improve patient care processes and outcomes
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of nursing supplies, anticipate necessary supplies; ensures proper operation of medical equipment and completes preventative maintenance requirements set forth

Medical Imaging of Lehigh Valley, P.C. (MILV) is a large, independently owned, private radiology group practice with its principal offices located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  MILV was formed in 1977 and is the largest radiology group practice in Eastern Pennsylvania and one of the largest private practice groups in the country.  MILV currently employs or contracts with 90 radiologists and performs over one million exams per year.

MILV is the exclusive provider of radiology services to the Lehigh Valley Health Network, which currently has seven hospital campuses, a dedicated Heart Institute and Cardiac Institute, including an affiliation with Memorial Sloan Kettering, as well as multiple outpatient centers throughout several counties. Future network plans include three new hospital campuses in the next two years.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will work with Physician Leadership, the Executive Director and management team to ensure that MILV operates as a highly efficient and cost effective practice, allowing it to continue as a regional leader of high quality imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the daily operations of the practice including the business office, ancillary providers and the interventional radiology clinic.
  • Assists physician leadership and Executive Director in developing and implementing the strategic long and short-range plans.
  • Prepares regular monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and statistical reports and ad hoc reports as requested by physician leadership and Executive Director.
  • Works closely and meets regularly with physician leadership and management team regarding practice matters.
  • Interview and hiring of potential new physician candidates, ancillary providers and business office staff.
  • Works with physician leadership and legal counsel to develop employment agreements for new physicians and ancillary providers.
  • Represents practice and interacts with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and other professional and community groups.
  • Negotiates with managed care plans and ensures the practice’s long-term financial stability.
  • Maintains compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements.
  • Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high-quality patient care.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in business or health care management (preferred)
  • Minimum five years experience in health care management or administration
  • Experience leading, developing and directing individuals and teams in a healthcare environment.
