Join the Pennsylvania MGMA Board of Directors and your colleagues from across the state as we host this informative and engaging discussion on the future of the Pennsylvania MGMA. Come and provide us with your needs, focus, and direction as we tackle changes from MGMA which will affect our affiliation with MGMA and ACMPE. This is your opportunity to hear about these changes and how they will affect you and your ability to succeed as a leader within the Pennsylvania healthcare industry.

In June, MGMA informed all state affiliates that the terms and conditions of the State Affiliation Agreement will change. The proposed changes will affect our membership dues, educational programming, and finances.

Over the past two months, MGMA held meetings to describe components of their proposal. Concurrently, over one hundred volunteer state leaders from over 35 states met to discuss the proposed changes and how best to navigate our individual states, albeit without complete information from MGMA; to-date, we have yet to receive an updated draft of the agreement since errors were identified over a month ago. We, your board of directors, do not operate our own practices in this manner, and are somewhat at a loss at the shortened time allotted for volunteer leaders to properly assess the changes and decide “what’s in the best interest for the Pennsylvania MGMA”.

Since 1992, the Pennsylvania MGMA was led by an experienced group of seasoned and new practice leaders from across the state, across clinical specialties, and from a variety of practice sizes. Your current Board of Directors is no less experienced and no less determined to continue our long-standing service to the healthcare community and healthcare leaders in Pennsylvania. We want to continue our efforts to provide you and your team with over 30 hours, annually, of educational content through webinars, Regional Forums, and our annual Healthcare Leaders’ Summit, and at a cost you can afford.

Join us at this Town Hall where we need your participation, your direction, and your engagement so that we can continue to fulfill our mission… To provide professional development and education to all healthcare professionals, in a collaborative environment.

A high performing Healthcare Call Center / Scheduling Department can be the powerful first impression for patients or it can set the stage for a challenging customer service experience. In this presentation we will examine the key elements that all successful healthcare call centers should have: strong people, outstanding work processes, and best in class technology. We will explore how corporate culture impacts your ability to recruit and retain high performing staff persons. We dig into the best practice processes, workflows and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that separate the best healthcare call centers from those less successful. Tools that managers can use to successfully monitor their team and individual performers to drive the customer service they expect will be explored. Last, we will review those best-in-class Technology issues – hardware and software that are mission critical to practice safety in a healthcare world that demands regulatory compliance, IT safety, environmental redundancy and customer service excellence.   Healthcare practice leadership will gain a new perspective on call center and scheduling best practices and will see firsthand how they can improve any current weaknesses within their own organizations.

    Learning Objectives:

Assess the current success of the practice call center in supporting efficiency, cost effectiveness, and a quality patient experience.

Determine the specific points of quality breakdown in a call center and take corrective action.

Define call center key performance indicators that align with business goals.
