The presentation will cover major provisions of the 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule, including telehealth and licensing flexibilities, payment for office/outpatient E& M visits, the Quality Payment Program, and opioid use disorder/substance use disorder provisions.
Patrick Hamilton has been with the Philadelphia Regional Office of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) since October, 1998. Currently, he is the Special Assistant to the Regional Administrator of CMS Philadelphia. Previously, he worked in the area of provider outreach since 2002, where he has served as the Outreach Specialist for providers in the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia. In addition to his outreach responsibilities, Patrick works closely with clinicians, beneficiaries and Congressional offices in resolving inquiries dealing with Part A and Part B issues. Patrick also served as the Field Lead for Policy Expertise for the Quality Payment Programs for the 10 CMS field offices. Patrick received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1996, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Villanova University in 1999.
